Exercise of the Week: Goblet Squats

Welcome to another installment of PlyoMed Fitness’s Exercise of the Week. Where an Elite Personal Trainer from the Palm Bay and Melbourne Florida area shows you how to add something new to your exercise routine every week. This weeks exercise is the Goblet Squat. Enjoy!!!

Goblet Squat:

This unique leg exercise when done correctly and with the right amount of weight can work you legs out just as intensely as your standard squats while but also can become an intense ab exercise as well. If you have any back problems or are afraid to put hundreds of pounds across your neck/back for any reason this exercise is for you.

Grab a heavy dumbbell and clean it up to your chest, or set it on a bench and use your legs to get it up to you(if you have a spotter you can have him/her hand it to you). Once you have the dumbbell on your chest, squat down to 90degress and stand back up to the starting point; repeat and enjoy :D
